This aircraft passenger stairs type is a tow-able stair with power-operation. The staircase has an electric auxiliary drive.

The use of the auxiliary drive is only intended for positioning and removal of the steps. The safe maximum manoeuvring by electric power is 100 m.

Over longer distances the stairs are towed with the help of the draw-bar.  The stair has a driver’s stand on the platform.  Driving from the platform increases safety when positioning the steps on the aircraft.  The view when approaching the aircraft door is unobstructed.
